The long-awaited winter arrives tomorrow

Posted: Thursday - 12 January 2012

After a long enough period of variable weather it's time for her to stabilize. Before that happens we still have a two-day crossing of all atmospheric phenomena, ranging from gales and downpours, and ending on the snow storms. It will be a dynamic introduction to the cold and snowy winter that will last up to several days.

Over the past several days accompanied us very variable weather - once it was warm, sometimes cold, alternately fall rain and snow. Yet only tomorrow and the day after tomorrow we will have to deal with very dynamic aura, which revealed strong winds, torrential rain, wintry storms, and even snowstorms. In the latter the biggest chance have residents of western and north-western part of Poland. There will be a moderate instability of the atmosphere in the form of CAPE locally achieving 300J/kg. LI will reach -2°C. It is sufficient to appear a well-extended convective cells, bringing heavy rain, snow and lightning. Possibly the storms can occur in the other regions of the country. After all we expect quite cold and snowy winter, which will last a little over a weak. During this time should drop a little snow and temperatures will reach low values - during the day in some places may be as much as -15°C, and at nights and mornings around -20°C. So it looks like that comes first in this year severe winter weather accident.
